What PPE Should Be Worn While Installing Carpet?
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) should always be worn while Removing and Installing Carpet, no matter how big or small the job is. The recommended PPE to be worn while Removing and Installing Carpet is:
– Knee Pads
– Ear Muffs
– Cut Resistant Gloves
– Safety Glasses or Goggles
– Safety Steel Cap Toe Boots
– Hard Hat (Commercial Work Sites)
– Sufficient Work Clothes (HI-VS Work Shirt and Long Pants)
– Dust Mask or Respirator (P2 Silica Dust Protection) – In certain situations
You should also ensure that your hair is contained and that you don’t wear any rings or jewellery. It’s important to wash your clothing and shower after completing any work that may release silica dust, such as Concrete Grinding.
