Safety First:

Wear a face mask which is labelled P2 and ideally work in a well-ventilated area. You also want to protect your face and hands with gloves and safety goggles, while connecting your concrete grinder into a dust extractor that is labelled “M CLASS”.

Method 1: (Thin Layer)

  1. If a thin layer of epoxy glue was accidentally left on your concrete it can easily be removed with the correct concrete hand grinder and a strong PCD diamond disc.
  2. If a thin layer of epoxy glue was accidentally left on your concrete it can easily be removed with the correct concrete walk behind grinder and a strong PCD diamond disc.
  3. If you notice that after removing the thin layer of epoxy glue residue on your concrete slab is leaving small amounts of residue that cannot be cleaned up by the PCD diamond disc, you will need to swap over to a #16 grit diamond disc.
  4. Ensure that your concrete grinder is always connected to a dust extractor and after you finish removing the thin layer of epoxy glue residue that you vacuum all the epoxy glue residue up to ensure that you can see a clean concrete slab. If you cant, a “Second Pass” may be required with your concrete grinder or hand grinder.

Method 2: (Thick Layer)

  1. If a thick layer of epoxy glue was accidentally left on your concrete it can easily be removed with the correct concrete hand grinder and a strong PCD diamond disc.
  2. If a thick layer of epoxy glue was accidentally left on your concrete it can easily be removed with the correct concrete walk behind grinder and a strong PCD diamond disc.
  3. If a large area with a thick coating of epoxy glue needs to be removed from your concrete slab, it can be a tough project to take on, but it can be removed with the correct large walk behind concrete grinder, several passes with PCD diamond discs and a clean up of any epoxy glue residue from the concrete slab with a #16 grit diamond disc after the PCD diamond discs or PCD turbo plugs.
  4. Ensure that your concrete grinder is always connected to a dust extractor and after you finish removing the thick layer of epoxy glue residue that you vacuum all the epoxy glue residue up to ensure that you can see a clean concrete slab. If you cant, a “Second Pass” may be required with your concrete grinder or hand grinder.
